Mass backing is ethylene vinyl acetate 40 ml thick that is molded and bonded onto the back of the carpet when it is manufactured. It adds additional sound deadening and insulation qualities to your new El Camino molded carpet and is available at an additional cost on your new El Camino molded carpet. Remember, special orders do not take any longer to ship out than our standard orders--most ship from the manufacture in 24-48 hours. Wow, that's fast! Please remember, mass backing can only be applied to pieces that are actually made in a mold due to it's application process. If you are ordering a 1978-1987 "complete" set for your El Camino, only the parts that are actually molded will have mass backing, any die cut pieces in the set will not have mass backing since it can only be applied during the heat molding process.

It is always advised to get samples if you feel that these colors are not what you have in your vehicle.
